Method of use: 1. Soak in sterile water for 15- 30 seconds to make the surface self-lubricating.
2. Insert by sliding along the septal floor of the nasal cavity. 3. Inflate the cuff with AIR ONLY (20-30 ml.). Amount of air required to make a firm Pilot Cuff depends on the patient's nasal anatomy. 4. Tape the Pilot Cuff to the side of patient's face. 5. Deflate the cuff fully before removal.
The device may be removed in 24-48 hours as Gel Knit will maintain amoist wound surface. The surface will not stick to clots, hence no re-bleeding.
